About
Arqawan Afaq Ltd was established in 2007 to do one thing well: move paper from the mills that make it to the businesses that convert it, across two markets that rarely share a supplier.
Why two markets
The United States and the Middle East buy paper differently. American converters buy on specification and schedule, and they expect a distributor to hold stock. Gulf buyers more often buy on relationship and delivered price, with documentation that has to clear a specific port.
Serving both from one desk is unusual, and it is the reason we exist. A grade that goes quiet in one market often moves in the other, which is what lets us hold depth on stock that a single market supplier could not justify.
How we work
Small team, direct lines. The person who quotes your order is the person who books the container and the person who calls you if a sailing slips. There is no account management layer between you and the paper.
We do not claim to be the cheapest source on every grade. On the grades we hold contracted mill volume for, we are usually close, and the price does not move between agreement and shipment.
Certification and responsible sourcing
Fibre sourcing is now the first question most procurement teams ask, and it is a fair one. We buy from mills that can document chain of custody, and we pass that documentation through to you rather than summarising it. Where a grade is available in both certified and uncertified form, we quote both and let you decide.
